Good morning UND,
Looking nice out there today–clear skies and sunny with a high of 14 looking to reach even as high as 25.
The movie of the week is 300: Rise of an Empire 3D. The movie is based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel Xerxes, told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster 300.
The Running with Lynn Show is proud to bring you the second installment of Stories of Suspense Ch.2 “Nightmares”. I had the classic “scary movie” bad dream again last night. The one where I’m in a rich fancy hotel and it seems like I’m walking for miles then when I finally get to the end of the hallway there’s two little twin boys standing there staring at me and chanting “come play with us Lynn for ever and ever and ever…”. “All play and no work makes Lynn a dull boy” I exclaimed! Then I woke up.
Have a great day everybody

It’s another chilly day in the neighborhood. The movie of the week Endless Love a movie perfect for Valentine’s day. This romantic flick will put you in the mood for Feb.14 and just might give you some tips to spice up the day.
Since Valentine’s day is coming up I thought I would share this little poem with you all
This one goes out to all you lovers out there–
“Love. What is love? What is the not of the not that we be not of?”
This Valentine’s day I want you to go out there find that special someone, hold them by the hand and tell them how you really feel because you never want to spend the rest of your life thinking what could have been.
Personal story: Two years ago I was dining in a fine restaurant right here in Grand Forks and the waiter asked me what kind of pie I wanted for dessert–I hesitated for a moment “apple” I said, the waiter said “excellent choice!” he wrote it down and slowly walked away. Then all of a sudden I stood up and yelled no wait “cherry, cherry!” but it was too late. To this day I always think about the pie that got away.
Have a great day everybody.
Good morning UND!
Looking like another chilly, cloudy day right now we are sitting at -5. Want to get out of the cold? No problem! Stay at home and rent a movie, the DVD of the week goes back to 1987 La Bamba staring Lou Diamond Phillips, this movie is a great music, comedy, drama and is the true story of Ritchie Valens.
February 3 “The Day the Music Died”
On this day in 1959, rising American rock stars’ Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson were killed when their chartered Beechcraft Bonanza plane crashed in Iowa a few minutes after takeoff from Mason City on a flight headed for Moorehead, Minnesota. Investigators blamed the crash on bad weather and pilot error.
Have a great day everybody and rock on.
